Dr. Sushil Kumar Himanshu's research spans various aspects of agricultural innovation. He promotes regenerative agriculture in ASEAN with a focus on nature-positive solutions for rice production, funded by The Rockefeller Foundation. His work in precision agriculture, supported by The World Bank and ICAR, implements smart farming technologies in India. Additionally, he evaluates efficient irrigation strategies for crops in Texas, develops machine learning algorithms for better precipitation data in Thailand, and assesses soil health benefits of cover crops in Texas cotton production, with funding from USDA, AIT, and Cotton Incorporated.

Dr. Sushil Kumar
Himanshu has been honored with the
prestigious
Young Researcher Award 2024 by the Asian
Association for
Agricultural Engineering, in collaboration
with the Thai Society
of Agricultural Engineering. This esteemed
award recognizes Dr.
Himanshu's outstanding contributions and
innovative research in
the field of agricultural engineering.
The award ceremony took place during the
International
Agricultural Engineering Conference, held
from May 22-24, 2024.
This significant conference was organized as
a parallel event to
AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2024, hosted at the
Bangkok International Trade
& Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
